How It Works

For Sellers

List surplus in minutes, set your own price, and get paid securely, all while staying anonymous until a buyer's payment is confirmed.

1

Create a verified account

Register your organisation and complete your business profile. Verification builds trust with buyers without ever exposing your identity publicly.

2

Post your surplus

List equipment, materials or stock you no longer need. Listing is free, with no limit on how many active listings you keep.

3

Set your asking price

Choose Price + Offers, Fixed Price, Open to Offers, or Free. You set the price, not the platform.

4

Stay anonymous while public

Your listing shows industry, approximate location, condition and a Verified badge, never your company name or exact address.

5

Receive offers

Buyers submit structured offers or buy outright at your listed price. No chat, no free-text negotiation to manage.

6

Accept, counter, or decline

Respond to each offer directly. Counter with a different price or quantity if you want to negotiate, decline if it's not right.

7

See the commission before you accept

The platform's percentage commission for that transaction value is shown to you before you accept, never a surprise at payout.

8

Buyer pays directly, no extra step from you

The invoice is set automatically at the price you agreed, the buyer can pay right away. Need to adjust the amount first, for something genuinely not captured in the agreed price? You can, but it's optional, and it briefly asks the buyer to re-approve before they can pay.

9

Buyer secures payment

The buyer pays through the platform. Only a server-confirmed secured payment moves the transaction forward, never a client-side click.

10

Identities are revealed, and your commission is due

The instant payment is confirmed secured, both sides see each other's real business identity and exact address, automatically. Your commission, the exact amount you were already shown before you accepted, is due at the same moment, and you pay it yourself: it's what unlocks the next step, providing your pickup or logistics details. Once paid, it's settled, not something deducted later or affected by anything that happens afterward.

11

You have 5 business days to ship

Once the buyer picks a fulfilment method, hand the goods to their courier (or mark ready for them to collect) within 5 business days, with a photo as your proof of handover. Miss it and the order cancels automatically, refunding the buyer in full. Need more time? Ask the buyer for a short extension before the deadline.

12

Delivery gets confirmed against tracking

Where a courier's involved, either you or the buyer confirms delivery against the tracking number once it's actually arrived, that's what starts the buyer's window to report a problem. For in-person collection it's simpler, either of you confirms once the goods have changed hands.

13

Buyer confirms receipt, or the window elapses

The buyer has a fixed window to confirm receipt or report a problem. No action from them within that window releases your payment automatically.

14

Payment is released to you

Once receipt is confirmed (or the window elapses undisputed), you're paid the full amount, your commission was already paid by you back when you unlocked the logistics step, so there's nothing deducted here and no separate invoicing needed. A reported problem doesn't freeze your money indefinitely either, if it isn't resolved within the dispute window, the platform defaults to releasing payment to you. That's just the platform's payment mechanics, though, not a ruling on the underlying dispute, you can still end up liable to the buyer under the Terms of Service for a genuine problem, resolved directly between you.

Good to know

Listing is free

No cost to post, no limit on active listings.

You set the price

Price + Offers, Fixed Price, Open to Offers, or Free, your choice per listing.

Commission, not a flat fee

10% of the transaction value, with a €50 minimum per completed sale, shown on Pricing. Never a surprise, it's confirmed before you accept an offer.

Buyer pays shipping

You never arrange or pay for logistics, the buyer always organises and covers their own collection or courier.

Package it properly

You're responsible for how the goods are packaged. If something arrives damaged because it wasn't packaged adequately for the method, that's on you, not the carrier, see the packaging guidelines when you list.

Payment protection

Payment is confirmed by the platform before goods change hands, and funds are only released to you after delivery is confirmed and the buyer's window closes undisputed.

Anonymity, then reveal

You stay anonymous through listing and negotiation. Real identity is revealed to both sides only once payment is confirmed secured.

VAT and tax are yours to handle

Make an Offer doesn't calculate VAT or issue tax invoices. You and the buyer handle your own commercial invoicing and tax obligations.
